On schedule to get the roof reinstated

The Girders supporting the new mezzanine floor and principal roof struts have been installed. It was all hand to the pumps lifting the girders in place as it was not possible to get a crane to do the lifting owing to the confined space.

As the floor had to be laid before the reinstatement of the roof it is a worrying time as the floor is water resistant to a point but prolonged rain could ruin it.

Main roof struts in place. View along the length of the roof struts. Oh no Storm Clouds. This picture clearly shows repairs made to the walls. Timbers supporting the floor and temporary floor covering. Some work is still required on the upper walls. A roof strut before the steel support plate is fitted. Until the stairs are in this ladder is the only way to reach the upper floor. Asa and Dave inspect a roof strut. Jim, gets the kettle on! View across the River Yare. Timbers supporting the floor. View of the ground floor.
